Fleece Walrus
Heart participated in a Science competition conducted by his school district and was one of the second place winners in first grade!
So I wanted to reward him with a new nap buddy. I decided to make a cute walrus from this book by Linda Carr: Wild and Wonderful Fleece Animals. I am in love with this book! There are so many animals that you can make!! When I showed it to him, his first choice was the walrus too!He already has an orca and a sea lion, so this will be a nice add-on!

Pillowcase Dresses
This pillowcase dress was hand sewn by me when Sweet was 9 months old. I didn't have a sewing machine then, but was very eager to sew something for my infant! It took me over 2 days to finish!

Appliques - His and Hers
Adding appliques is one of the earliest projects I worked on even before I got my Brother.
Indeed appliques are so wonderful! They instantly add a lot of pizzazz to a plain piece of garment! And they are so easy and quick to do! Even a child can do it.
I used Heat'n Bond Lite Iron-On Adhesive sheets for these projects.

Peasant dress
Peasant tops and dresses are so easy to put together (after pillowcase dresses, of course). Ideal project for beginners - the only notion you'd need is elastic! I love the fact that there is room for infusing my creativity. My toddler loves the comfortable fit and the ease of putting on (great for young ones learning to dress on their own).
I found an awesome tutorial and FREE pattern at Fabric.com - Marilyn's Slim Fit Peasant Dress and Top by Creative Kids Couture.
Here are the tops and dresses I'd made with this pattern last year:

Pizza!!
Pizza is an all-time favorite in our house! It is also the first choice that the kids ask for lunch/dinner.
So our play food set will be incomplete without a slice (or two) of pizza in it.
